About Us

Dr. Millett specializes in disorders of the shoulder, knee, and elbow as well as all sports-related injuries. He uses advanced open and arthroscopic surgical techniques to restore damaged joints, ligaments, and bones. Dr. Millett is also affiliated with the United States Ski and Snowboard Association and serves as a team physician for the U.S. Ski Team.

Dr. Millett treats patients with all types of shoulder, knee, and elbow disorders including: traumatic, instabilities, rotator cuff, arthritis, sports-related injuries, arthroscopically-treated problems, total shoulder replacement, shoulder and collar bone (clavicle) fractures.

JeAnne Halde joined the Steadman Clinic in 2009 and is now the clinical director for Dr. Millett. She oversees all aspects of clinical care, such as surgical scheduling, diagnostic testing, new patient consultations, and travel / insurance issues for our out of town patients. A native of Iowa, she loves the high country. She completed her bachelor’s degrees in kinesiology with an emphasis in fitness and theatre arts / dance at the University of Northern Colorado, where she was actively involved in volunteer and social activities. In her free time she enjoys skiing, sailing, and travel.

Gordon Hart, PA-CGordon Hart, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Gordon Hart comes to the Steadman Clinic from Calgary, Canada by way of Phoenix, Arizona. In 2005, he completed his physician assistant training degree at the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Gordon had a long career in professional hockey and served as the head athletic trainer for the National Hockey League’s Phoenix Coyotes (10 years) and the Winnipeg Jets (3 years). An avid sports enthusiast, Gordon was also an outstanding player in his own right. He was a member of the Canadian National Championship hockey team at the University of Calgary, where he was a scholar athlete.

Community Outreach Liason

Angie joins the Millett team after completing the Steadman Hawkins Athletic Training Fellowship program. Angie assists in the clinic as well as serving as an outreach athletic trainer for Ski and Snowboard Club Vail. The Western Eagle County Recreation District (WECMRD) and other community athletic programs. Before moving to Vail, Angie lived in Connecticut while she was attending graduate school for exercise science and athletic training. She earned her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Washington State University, where she worked with Division 1 sports teams. Angie has also been a part of sport medicine teams during the Boston Marathon, Gortex Trans Rockies Race and Winter X-Games. She enjoys snowboarding, hiking and watching the Red Sox win!

Laura Mann, DPTLaura Mann, DPT
Team Director Shoulder Rehab

Laura works intimately with Dr. Millett's patients and has vast experience in the rehab of patients with shoulder and sports injuries. She has come to Colorado after working with spring training baseball athletes in Arizona and researching advanced complex shoulder cases, as well as advanced shoulder rehabilitation techniques. Laura graduated from PT school at Northern Arizona University in 2007, previous to that played 4 years of D1 college volleyball at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. She is an essential part of the rehab team and asserts the importance of being a positive influence during patients recovery process. She was recruited to Howard Head Sports Medicine because of her experience and commitment to excellence in patient care.

Dirk Kokmeyer directs the rehab team that works intimately with Dr. Millett’s patients. Dirk graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Hogelschool van Utrecht School for Physical Therapy in the Netherlands. A native of Falmouth, Massachusetts, he began work with the Howard Head Sports Medicine Centers in Vail, Colorado in 2000. He received his Orthopedic Manual Therapy Certification (COMT) in 2005 and his Sport Certified Specialist (SCS) certification in 2006. He was promoted to lead physical therapist for Dr. Millett in 2005 and then was selected to run the Denver Howard Head Clinic in 2008. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and specializes in sports medicine, manual therapy, manipulation and rehabilitation of knee and shoulder injuries.
