Dr. Millett specializes in disorders of the shoulder, knee, and elbow as well as all sports-related injuries. He uses advanced open
and arthroscopic surgical techniques to restore damaged joints, ligaments, and bones. Dr. Millett is also affiliated with the United
States Ski and Snowboard Association and serves as a team physician for the U.S. Ski Team.
Dr. Millett treats patients with all types of shoulder, knee, and elbow disorders including: traumatic, instabilities, rotator cuff,
arthritis, sports-related injuries, arthroscopically-treated problems, total shoulder replacement, shoulder and collar bone (clavicle)
fractures.
Gordon Hart, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Gordon Hart comes to the Steadman Hawkins Clinic from Calgary, Canada by way of Phoenix, Arizona. In 2005, he completed his physician assistant training degree at the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Gordon had a long career in professional hockey and served as the head athletic trainer for the National Hockey League’s Phoenix Coyotes (10 years) and the Winnipeg Jets (3 years). An avid sports enthusiast, Gordon was also an outstanding player in his own right. He was a member of the Canadian National Championship hockey team at the University of Calgary, where he was a scholar athlete.
Carolyn McGarvey
Clinical Director
Carolyn McGarvey joined the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in 2005 and is now the clinical director for Dr. Millett. She oversees all aspects of clinical care, such as surgical scheduling, diagnostic testing, new patient consultations, and travel / insurance issues for our out of town patients. A native of Iowa, she loves the high country. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology at The Colorado College, where she was actively involved in volunteer and social activities. In her free time she enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and dance.
Dirk Kokmeyer PT, SCS, COMT
Dirk Kokmeyer directs the rehab team that works intimately with Dr. Millett’s patients. Dirk graduated Magna Cum Laude from the
Hogelschool van Utrecht School for Physical Therapy in the Netherlands. A native of Falmouth, Massachusetts, he began work with
the Howard Head Sports Medicine Centers in Vail, Colorado in 2000. He received his Orthopedic Manual Therapy Certification (COMT)
in 2005 and his Sport Certified Specialist (SCS) certification in 2006. He was promoted to lead physical therapist for Dr. Millett
in 2005. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and specializes in sports medicine, manual therapy,
manipulation and rehabilitation of knee and shoulder injuries.
